Delightful Sketches 13 and new releases from Digital delights

I'm afraid I'm a day late with my posting due to illness, but it's worth waiting for as there are some gorgeous new releases at Digital Delights - Nursery Rhyme Sets. Our images are now available in both JPEG and PNG formats! There are also full colour versions of each set available.
PNG files are transparent and wonderful for layering and creating scenes as well as printing your images on colored cardstock!
See my card at the top of the post using the new sketch at Delightful Sketches. I've used the lovely Mother Goose coloured with pro-markers. I've added a number 1 on the nursery rhyme book for a first birthday.The beige backing paper has the alphabet all over it. I've added some ribbon and gems from stash, but kept it all fairly simple. Digital Delights Digi Day this Thursday!

Our next digi day at our SNR group is Thursday (10th December!!)

We are going to have a lot of fun and prizes!! Our theme will be Christmas Traditions and Ornaments!!

We are going to kick off our event early by having a mini challenge!! Create anything you like, a simple ornament, gift tag etc using our Christmas Bells Charlie (free over at our SNR group)

Entries should be uploaded to the SNR Gallery with the tag "digitaldelightschristmas"

All entries will be put into a random drawing to receive THE WHOLE SET OF OUR DECEMBER RELEASES!!

I ♥ ProMarkers.Challenge 6 Spots and Stripes

We have a bit of exciting news at I ♥ ProMarkers...every month we look through all your blogs at all the stunning entries you all have. We thought it a good idea to offer the opportunity of a monthly guest design team place to each monthly winner running for 1 month only...a great way to showcase some of your stunning colouring!...
For this challenge there is no sketch......We want to see some spots and stripes on your cards..these can be the main focus of the card or a simple accent, the decision is yours.
This will be the last challenge before Christmas, we re-start again on the 13th January, our finalists from this challenge will be announced on the 12th Jan so can all entries to be on the I ♥ ProMarkers blog by the 11th Jan.
Of course..another fab prize of a set of Promarkers and bleed proof pad.!

For my card, I've used a Sarah Kay image coloured with a selection of green and red pro-markers mainly. I've added some stickles on the wings, star and halo. Cut with Nesties labels 8.
Dp is DCWV. I've used a Fiskars snowflake punch, and added stickles to the centre of each snowflake.
Felt ribbon by Papermania.
Prima poinsettia, K&Co gem and Martha Stewart punch complete the flower.

All on red Bazzill cardstock.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge No.28 Christmas Birthday

Now what about all those people out there that have their Birthday at Christmas time?

I've added a sentiment, some inking round edges and faux stitching.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge No.27 - Christmas Gifts

The challenge at C.R.A.F.T. this week is Christmas gifts, which can include any sort of handmade gifts or cards. I've made a card and decorated a candle (sorry the pic isn't that great). The card is made with Anna Griffin papers, with some glitter paper, mirri card and an added sentiment. There is a pop up inside the card, and a stamped sentiment.
For the candle, I embossed a Christmas sentiment stamp and some snowflake stamps on tissue paper, then added to the candle.

Eileen from the DT has kindly offered this weeks prize - a choice of sentiments stamps - these are fabulous.

You can choose from Weddings - Christmas or general. They are lovely quality stamps fab for Scrapbooking or cardmaking and contain lots of sentiments.

Delightful Sketches #12

Happy Thanksgiving to my friends in the USA.

Onto my card, and I've coloured Christmas Pudding Teddy with pro-markers, then added Flower Soft polar white and glitter to his hat, glossy accents to the pudding, and red stickles to the berries. I think the papers are Dovecraft, ribbon from stash. The holly and berries on the ribbon is chipboard. The red card is corrugated. All on white A5 cardstock.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge No.26 Inspiration pic and FREE Digi

This week's challenge at C.R.A.F.T. is an inspiration photo. Claire from Doodles by Hope Jacare is sponsoring the prize this week, and if you go check out the challenge, she's also offering a free digi stamp (which I've used on my DT card this week).
For my DT card I've used Claire's digi stamp, coloured with pro-markers, and I've also added glossy accents, polar white flower soft and glamour dust to the image. Dps are K & Co and Dovecraft. Circle sentiment is matted onto a scallop silver mirri card circle, with a metal stocking charm attached. Red and silver ribbons and bow from stash. Snowflakes from QVC. All on a red 8x8" card.

Thanks for the well wishes about my tooth incident. It's feeling a little better today although still painful and swollen, but I've finished the antibiotics now, so just hoping the infection doesn't flare up again. This has just made me even worse about visiting the dentist. It was bad enough this time, I was shaking from head to toe before she even started doing anything!

Digital Delights is hosting our first ever Digi Day on SNR Card Universe!!!

We are having a PARTY!!!!
A COOKIE EXCHANGE PARTY!!!

Join us Thursday November 12th from 7PM- 8PM (CST) 1AM UK in the Digital Delights Group at SNR.
Bring your favorite holiday sweet treat recipes to share during the event. Some members of the DT will be there, and everyone will have lots of fun.

Everyone that comes to the party will receive a FREE image from Digital Delights. I can't tell you what the image is, because that's a secret...but it's fabbylicious.

I ♥ Promarkers Challenge 5 for November

It's time for our November Challenge, Sketch #5 at I ♥ ProMarkers. We have a fabulous sketch by Sharon to follow, and a wonderful prize of another bespoke collection of ProMarkers and pad from Letraset.
For my card I've used Peachy Tilda with the matching Peaches and Peachy Dots papers, all from Tracy at Dies to Die For. I've coloured Tilda with soft peach and peach, pastel green, soft green, cocoa, caramel, tan, almond, blush and sunkissed pink. She's layered on green and orange/peach oval mats. All papers have also been layered on same cs. Added a chipboard sentiment and some beads all on white 6 x 6" DCWV Jewel cs. Please take a look at the stunning cards from the rest of the DT.
Could all entries be in for 30th November, the finalist will be announced 1st December and the winner and new challenge will be posted on the 2nd December.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge No.24

Time for a new Challenge at C.R.A.F.T. and "Bonfire Night" seems appropriate - but we have been kind and added the options of fireworks and Celebration (which could really cover just about everything!)
This weeks winner will recieve a fab selection of quality die-cuts from Susie of Die Cut Dreams. Pop by her shop - she has lots of other crafting goodies aswell.
For my card I found a picture of fireworks on one of those colouring in sites (by Elizabeth Dulemba). I've coloured the image, added glossy accents and some gold glitter. Round the outside is black soot distress ink. The background is a mixture of pearly pens and starburst stains, all stamped over the top and mounted on a black 6 x 6" card.
This was way out of my comfort zone, but you can just make a celebration card. My card actually looks quite nice in real life with all the shine and glitter, but none of this comes across in the picture I'm afraid.
