Willow Sketchie Challenge

For the Willow Sketchie Challenge at Craftbubble I made an Easter card. The challenge was a sketch, with a quote from Sharon:
I want you to think closely about your colour choices with this one..whatever colours you choose to colour your designs in...try and pull colours from that into what colour cardstock you choose, ribbons and embellishments you use.
I used a bunny stamp carrying a basket of eggs coloured with shades of green in pro-markers matted on dark green card with a ribbon and green and blue K & Co flower. The dp is K & Co. (I think) with greens, blues and white, and I added a gorgeous big green ribbon. The letters are Christmas peel offs from Dovecraft.

The Crafty Pad Challenge

I've made another Mother's Day card following the sketch for Challenge 13 on The Crafty Pad. The stamp is Faith on Windowseat coloured with pro-markers, and mounted onto white glitter card. The dp is K & Co. (I think) and the ribbon is HOTP. I've added punched flowers and gems.

Mothers Day

I've finally made a start on my Mothers day cards and combined 5 challenges in one card. Firstly, I followed the fab sketch from the Sunday Sketch Challenge 23 at Crafts 4 Eternity. The challenge at The Pink Elephant 6 is to use buttons, and at Stamp Something you need to use the colour green as the main part of the project. At Lili of the Valley, the challenge is to make a Mothers day card and last but not least March's challenge on the Stamp Mad forum on Craftbubble is to make a card using stitching (real or faux) and buttons.
Image - stamp from the Daisy and Dandelion range, Bubbles and Squeak
DPs - HOTP and K & Co.
Ribbon and buttons - HOTP
Red cardstock
Prima flower
I distressed all layers with my little Heidi Grace distressing tool and used brown inks to stipple and run round the edges. Stitching and sentiment written with a Whispers brown pen. Image coloured with pro-markers.

Comic Relief Piccies

Here are some pics of my 7 year old son Billy just before he went to school on Comic Relief Day. They had to dress up in something funny, so Billy's dad went to the good old pound shop and found some shorts with a bum in them. He sewed a farting toy thing into them with the switch up his sleeve so he could press it and no-one would know it was him (I don't know who was more excited - father or son!) He also wore a hat and added lots of facial hair. They had to pay a pound towards Comic Relief to dress funny and there were also races and other things put on at school. They all had a really good day and hopefully raised plenty of money.

Susie's Blog Candy

Susie has a huge amount of yummy goodies to give away. The Candy will run until midnight Saturday 21st March. Visit her here.

I won some Blog Candy!

A great start to my week. I've won Debbie's 'Faith on Windowseat' stamp in her blog candy. Debbie designs the stamps herself, and as well as her Faith stamps she's brought out a gorgeous range of Teds and butterflies. Visit The Crafty Pad and have a look at her stamps.

Plain and Simple Willow Sketchie Challenge

The Willow Sketchie Challenge at Craftbubble this week is to make a plain and simple card. NO LAYERS, NO RIBBON, NO BUTTONS, NO FLOWERS, NO NOTHING..just a plain image onto WHITE CARD. I've coloured a Sarah Kay image with pro-markers and then stippled 3 colours of Versacolour ink very lightly on the card, getting darker round the edges. It does seem strange not to add anything, but I was surprised at how much I enjoyed making this card.

ABC and Spoonful of Sugar Challenges

The challenge this week at ABC is D for distressing and at A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge 41 is torn edges. I used white cardstock to make another pocket card. The image is Rockstar Anya from the Greeting Farm coloured with pro-markers and distressed with inks and a Heidi Swapp edge distresser. The newspaper bp behind the image is torn and distressed with inks. The backing has been stamped with a texture mat stamp and embossed, then distressed with inks. I added a naked chipboard flower which I inked and a Basic Grey brad. The pockets inside have been punched with a Martha Stewart doily punch, then dabbed with inks. I know a lot of people hate ripping papers and distressing, but I love it.

Lili of the Valley Challenge 20

Over at Lili of the Valley this week the challenge is a fun sketch by Donalda. I thought I'd make a nice, bright card for a girl. The image is Jasmine - Chat by Lili of the Valley(I really like this stamp), coloured with pro-markers. I used blue Bazzill cardstock, yellow Bazzill, paper sent to me in a swap, Prima flowers and pink gems. The sentiment is also LOTV.

Willow Challenge on Craftbubble

The Willow Sketchie Challenge on Craftbubble this week is a sketch with a bit of texture. I made a pocket card. I coloured a Tilda with pro-markers, used bazzil cardstock, HOTP and DCWV spring stack papers and K & Co. flowers. I used a Martha Stewart doily punch on the middle strip.
Sorry, the picture isn't too good, I've just got a new camera and need to work it out a bit more.

Another Award!

Many thanks to Denise who has sent me this lovely award. Pop over to her blog, it's fab.
