It's time for another challenge at Michelle Perkett Studios. This week it's Hold on to Summer Fun! Make a card with a summer theme using any Michelle Perkett image. If you don't have any of her fab images you can find them at her Etsy store and at Bunny Zoes Crafts. There are sometimes freebies at CDAC too.

The challenge winner will get a $10 to spend in Michelle's Etsy store.

For my DT card I've used Stella the Summer Storyteller coloured with Promarkers, with some Stardust Stickles added to the flowers and her hair and waistband. I've inked the edges with Distress Inks.
The dp is from a set from QVC. I've punched some green Bazzill with a Martha Stewart deep edge flower punch, and added some blue satin ribbon and a bow and gem. The gem swirl is Prima, and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I've added some Stardust Stickles to the flowers, and punched out some leaves with a Martha Stewart punch. Cardstock is green Bazzill 6 x 6". I followed a fab sketch from Crafty Calendar.

I'm entering my card into these challenges:

My last DT card for C.R.A.F.T. - Anything Goes

It's time for Challenge 65 at C.R.A.F.T. which is Milestone Birthdays/Anything Goes.
This is the last week for a few of the DT at C.R.A.F.T. including myself. The other girls leaving are Ei, Andrea and Claire. I've really enjoyed my time working with these girls as a team. We've become good friends over the months (just over a year) that C.R.A.F.T. has been going. We've all come to the point now though where we're moving in different directions.

It's not the end of C.R.A.F.T. though! The lovely Jo will be taking over, and she's got a DT call running right now.

Back to this week's challenge now. We're being sponsored by the lovely Claire of Hope Jacare Doodles with the prize being one of her lovely new stamps.

I've gone with the theme of Anything Goes. I've made a little A6 card this week, I haven't used that size card for ages. The image is Camille by Michelle Perkett. You can buy her at Michelle's Etsy shop. I've coloured her with Promarkers, adding some Copic Spica clear glitter pen to parts of the image to make her sparkle. The edges have been inked a little with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, then cut with an oval nestie. I've mounted her on black card cut with a scalloped oval nestie. The backing paper is pink Bazzill stamped with a Fancy Pants swirl stamp with Versamark and clear embossed. Then I've inked over the top with Distress Inks, added some ribbon and a sentiment with black Versafine. All on a black A6 card blank.

Hope you can join in with my last C.R.A.F.T. Challenge.

Michelle Perkett Studio Challenge 42 - Back to School and blog hop

The challenge this week at Michelle Perkett Studio is Back to School. It's the turn of Design Team B this week, and they've done a fantastic job with Michelle's images.
They're doing a blog hop where you enter the challenge with a card or project using an image by Michelle, then hop around the DTs' blogs picking up letters as you go. You work out the secret word, then go to one of Michelle Perkett's pages at PCP, SNR or CDAC and send Michelle a personal message including the word and your email addy.
Alternatively, you can just enter the challenge as there will be 2 winners - A blog hop winner and a challenge winner.
You can find Michelle's images at her Etsy shop or at Bunny Zoes Crafts Shop.

I'm entering the challenge with a pencil holder. I found a pot to which I added MME Boo to You dp. I then added some orange ribbon and dome stickers by K & Co. Mary Margaret is coloured with Promarkers, then add to the pot with foam pads.

I'm entering my pencil holder into these challenges:

One Stitch at a Time Challenge 27 - Say it with shapes
One Stop Craft Challenge 94 - Not a card

Bella the Baker by Michelle Perkett Studios and challenge reminder

My card today has been made using a gorgeous digi image called Bella the Baker by Michelle Perkett Studios. You can find her at Michelle's Etsy shop or at Bunny Zoes Craft online store.
Don't forget the challenge at Michelle Perkett Studios - it's 'anything goes' this week, so as long as you use an MP image, you can create whatever you like!

For my card, I've followed the fab sketch at Cute Card Thursdays. Bella is coloured with Promarkers, then Glossy Accents added to the icing on the cake and the candle. The edges have been inked with Crushed Olive and Forest Moss Distress Inks. The dp is BasicGrey - Sugared, and all the layers are Bazzill dark red card, as is the 6 x 6" card. Other items used are Martha Stewart punches, red gems from stash, a Marianne Creatables die for the flowers, and Stardust Stickles have been applied to the edges of the petals and round the outside edge of the card.

I'm entering my card into these challenges:

I ♥ Promarkers Challenge 28 - At the Seaside

It's time for Challenge #28 at I ♥ Promarkers and the theme this week is At the Seaside.
We're being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and the prize is  $15 to spend in their online store.

For my DT card this week I've used an image by Elizabeth O. Dulemba called Summer Reader coloured with my promarkers, then cut out. I've added Glossy Accents to her glasses. The backing paper is Kanban - Artscapes - Coastline. The beach has been embellished with Martha Stewart glass beads in copper and gold and some stuff I found similar to Flowersoft. This has been mounted onto DCWV tan card, after being punched round the page with  Martha Stewart punches, then layered onto sky blue card.
All corners have been rounded using a corner punch and Fiskars scissors.

The summer embellishment was a chipboard freebie from a magazine, which I've sanded a little, and coloured over with a brownish ink. The ribbon is from a past gift I received, and I've coloured it with a pastel blue promarker, as it was originally white. It has been wound through the chipboard, then frayed at the ends, and a gem added on top.
The cardstock used is an 8 x 8"  pearl card.

Please enter new work only, and link to us at I ♥ Promarkers by Wednesday. Please could you disable word verification too, it makes it easier for us to visit your blogs.

I'm entering my card into these challenges:
The ABC Challenge - B is for blue
Alphabet Challenge Blog - P is for punches
Creative Inspirations Challenge 40 - Recyle element on project - (ribbon was from a gift)
PaperPlay Challenge '10 Week 32 - Bon Voyage - (on vacation)

Michelle Perkett Studio Challenge 41

I've got some fab news to share with you today - I'm now a member of the Michelle Perkett Design Team!!
Michelle creates fantastic digi images which she sells at her Etsy store, and you'll also find them here in the UK at Bunny Zoe's Crafts online store.
I'm really looking forward to working with the girls. There is a Team A, consisting of 6 of us which I'm on, and a Team B with the other 6 girls. I've listed the whole dt's blogs in my sidebar, so you can go visit them to see their fab creations, and get more inspiration for playing with Michelle's images.

We're starting our first challenge as Team A today, with the theme being 'Anything Goes'. You must use a MP image on your creation, but apart from that you can make anything! You'll find a fab freebie at CDAC in Michelle's group, so go grab it before it disappears.
Now the prize - Michelle is generously offering  $10 to spend at her Etsy shop

The above tag was made using Val and Vinnie (I named them lol) Valentine - the kissing couple. I've used promarkers to colour the image, and stamped the background with a lovely heart stamp in red ink. The sentiment reads 'With All My Heart'.

 Hope you can join us!

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 63 - Mini Beasts

We have a fab challenge for you at C.R.A.F.T. this week - Mini Beasts (insects) These do need to be the main focus of your creation - a little butterfly charm won't do.
Our sponsor is Craft Obsessions with the prize being 6 promarkers in colours of your choice. What a great prize!

For my DT card I've used an image by Alota Stamps. I've been dying to ink this stamp up for ages. I've coloured the image with promarkers, then used a Copic Spica clear glitter pen on the wings. The bubbles have been done with Snowtex and Woodware Pearly Stuff. I've used Nesties Labels 8 to cut the image out, then inked the edges with Distress Inks Stormy Sky and Faded Jeans.
The sentiment stamp is 'Bug Me' by Penny Black, which has also been coloured and inked, then cut with Nesties Labels 8.
I found the perfect bp in my stash - Scientifically Weird - Little Maniacs by Imagination Project.
The buttons, bead strings and grosgrain ribbon are from stash.
Cardstock is white Bazzill 6 x 6"

I'm entering this card into these challenges:

I ♥ Promarkers Challenge 27 - Acetate

I've got a lovely evening all to myself today. Hubby has taken our son to the England match. The amount of excitement and hyperactivity going on today from my boy has been mad! I hope he enjoys the football after all that!

Onto this weeks challenge at I ♥ Promarkers - something that tends to get forgotten about a lot in paper crafting - Acetate. All you need to do is to include acetate somewhere on your card.

Our sponsor this week is Wendy from Digital Delights, and the prize is a $10 gift certificate to spend on digis in her store. Wendy has very kindly provided the whole DT with some of her fab images to work with. I chose Bumble Bee Larry and Bumble Bee Larry Plane.

I've made a shadow box card this week using 2 pieces of white card 8" x 5", scored and taped together.

On the bottom layer I've coloured Bumble Bee Larry Plane with promarkers, and added some Stickles to the flowers on the plane and his wings. The sky has been inked with Big & Juicy Waterfall, which has been dabbed on lightly, leaving white patches for clouds, after masking the image. Another Larry Plane image has been added with acetate (which has been stuck into the side bit between layers), so he's inbetween the layers to give more of an impression of flying.

The top layer has had an aperture cut out with Nesties Labels 8. Then I've inked  all the edges coming into the card quite a lot with Distress Inks - Shabby Shutters, Pine Needles and Stormy Sky. Acetate has then been added to the aperture. Bumble Bee Larry has been added to the left corner with foam pads. Next, I stamped the base with flowers and added a couple of small stamped butterflies with Memento green. The bow is by Martha Stewart and the pearls are Prima. The buttons and cord are from stash.

I'm looking forward to see other ideas on how everyone uses their acetate. Please enter new work only.

I'm entering these challenges with my shadow box card:

The Creative Cottage Challenge 20 - Acetate
Papercraft Star Challenge 8 - buttons, bows and bling
Cards For men Challenge 16 - Off on an adventure

Michelle Perkett Sweetie Bag/Box

Michelle Perkett is having a DT call from now till August 15th, so I thought I'd give it a go. She wants you to make a creation with the above Birthday image which she's offering free. I've been lucky enough to have used a few of Michelle's images, and love them.

For my creation I've made a sweetie bag/box. I followed a template by Clare at Craft Mad and Loving It

I used thick double-sided card which I got from QVC, and punched the top with a gorgeous Martha Stewart punch. The image was coloured with promarkers and inked round the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I also added Glossy Accents to the icing on the cake. It was die cut with an oval Nestie, and matted onto blue card die cut with a scalloped oval Nestie. I added it to the little bag with foam pads.

2 holes were punched through both layers with a Cropodile, then some blue polka dot ribbon from stash pulled through and tied in a bow.
The pearls are by Prima, and I found this gorgeous acetate butterfly in my stash, and just added a few more pearls to its body.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 62 - Sketch

This week's challenge at C.R.A.F.T. is a fun sketch by our very own Eiglas. Your Special Delivery is this week's fab sponsor, with the prize being some digi images from here.

For my DT card this week I've flipped the sketch. The image is from Whiff of Joy (going through a WOJ phase atm), coloured with Promarkers, and Glamour Dust has been added to the wings and flowers. The image has been cut with an oval nestie and matted onto Martha Stewart card cut with a scalloped oval nestie. The dp is Martha Stewart with Bazzill Basics Just the Edge cardstock strips along the edges. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and have been slightly glittered. The leaves have been done with a Martha Stewart punch.
The tag has been cut using a QuicKutz tags die. The sentiment is an Anita's stamp which has been stamped with Sepia Versafine. HOTP fibre has been threaded through the end of the tag.
Cardstock is White Bazzill 6 x 6".

New work only please, and entries to be in by 8pm (UK time) Wednesday.

It's time for another challenge at I ♥ Promarkers. Challenge 26 is a sketch PLUS you must use no more than 3 colours (apart from skin tones).
Our sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen with the prize being a £10 gift voucher to spend in the online store.

For my DT card this week I've used a Whiff of Joy image, coloured mainly with shades of pink and green Promarkers. The image has been cut and matted with Nesties oval and oval scallops die cuts. I've used Victorian Velvet Distress Ink to ink the edges. The dps are DCWV Stack 7 and BasicGrey Sugared. The green DCWV papers have been put through the Cuttlebug in a Tim Holtz embossing folder, then sanded to give a more distressed look, and then the edges have been inked with Shabby Shutters.
All card and papers have been distressed with a Heidi Grace distressing tool and sandpaper. The BasicGrey dp has been inked round the edges with Victorian Velvet.
The 2 butterflies have been cut with an MS punch and Dovecraft gems added to their bodies. the BG paper in the corners have been punched with an MS corner punch and pink gems added.

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge 61 - Hot and/or Spicy

I'm afraid I'm late with my DT card this week due to pc probs as mentioned in the post below. The challenge at C.R.A.F.T. started on Thursday, so you've still got a couple of days to get your entries in.

The challenge at C.R.A.F.T. this week is Hot and Spicy, or just Hot or Spicy, however you want to interpret it. Our sponsor is Rosemary Merry of Crab Apple Crafts, who is offering a fab prize to our winner. Hope you all managed to catch her on QVC today between 2 and 4pm. If not, she's on again this evening at 7pm for an hour. I was very good, I didn't buy anything today, although I did buy the TSV from last week of the Martha Stewart punches. I couldn't resist the snowflakes!

For my card I've used an image by CC Designs. She's coloured with Promarkers, with Glamour Dust added to the flowery parts. I've stippled round the image with green Versacolour ink, and cut her out with Nesties Labels 8. The dp is MME - Quite Contrary, which was a freebie from a magazine. I've used Just the Edge white Bazzill cardstock strips, which I've coloured with a Meadow Green Promarker so it matches the green 6 x 6" Bazzill cardstock. The pink self adhesive pearls are by Kanban. The Tea Time chipboard sentiment is a freebie from a mag, which I've attached with a brad. The flowers are Magnolia and Wild Orchid Crafts, and the leaves have been punched out with a Martha Stewart punch.

Entries to be in by Wednesday at 8pm. New work only, and please remember to link back to the challenge blog.

I ♥ Promarkers Challenge 25 - Christmas in July

Sorry I'm so late with my DT card this week for I ♥ Promarkers, mine and hubby's laptops had to go and be fixed. With mine, the fan's broken, but hubby got a really bad virus that managed to get through 2 anti-virus programmes. We've got his back now, but we lost everything. I'd been using his for the last few months to store everything. Luckily most of my important photos were backed up, but I lost all the pics of my cards and digi images, and even a couple of Lauren Meader templates that I had won.

Onto the challenge. This week it's Christmas in July. It's never too early to make a start on your Christmas cards. Our sponsor this week is The Digi Doodles Shop, with the prize being  $10 to spend in their online store. The whole DT were given some Christmas images from the store, which we all had fun working with.

For my card I've used the image 'Santa baby and tree', coloured with Promarkers, (obviously). I've made an Easel card using Nesties Labels 8. I think the dp is Papermania, which I've added to the back and underneath of the card, as well as the front, after inking the edges with Distress inks Shabby Shutters. The image is also cut with Labels 8 and inked with Shabby Shutters and Pine Needles round the edges. I've added Polar White Flowersoft to the Santa Suit, and Glossy Accents to the Christmas tree lights.

The poinsettia is a Marianne Design Creatables die cut, embellished with a lovely green pearl, and I've added a Christmas tree charm hanging from it. The sentiment label is an Anna Griffin dome sticker placed on top of a large button. The sentiment verse on the back of the card was in my stash, as were the gems and ribbon.
As you can see in the above photo, this folds nice and flat to go in a C6 envelope.

Please remember, that to be entered into the prize draw you must follow the theme and use ProMarkers. Also please place a link back to I ♥ Promarkers from your blog.
