Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

The challenge this week at Stamptacular is to use a charm on your card, and of course stamping. It's called 'Charmed I'm Sure'. For this challenge I'm entering a card and bookmark set I've made. The bird stamp is by Inkadinkado, stamped with sepia versafine and heat embossed. The corner stamps are by Prima, again embossed. Dp is K&Co, mounted and layered on bazzill card. I've added ribbon, flowers and a pearl charm to embellish. I followed a fab sketch by Karen from Craftbubble.

Cupcake Craft Challenge

The challenge this week at Cupcake Craft Challenge is to add 5 different embellishments to your creation. You can use more than one flower or brad for example, but it will only count once. I'm going to enter a flower tag. The 5 different embellishments are flowers, rik rak ribbon, eyelets, a brad, and a butterfly metal charm. I really enjoyed making this. I cut my own flower out of chipboard, stuck PM flowery paper on, added Prima flowers, a Dovecraft brad and a butterfly on a petal. I punched eyelets into the ends of all the petals and added some rik rak ribbon into one of them. Shaded the ends of the petals with sepia versafine.

Stamp Something Challenge

Before I add my entry to this challenge, in my last post I put that it was my first challenge win. I was wrong, I forgot that I won the Trimcraft ATC challenge ages ago. I'm getting old, my memory is going!
The Stamp Something Challenge is 'Something with Showers or Flowers'. I've made a large card with flowery umbrellas. I stamped some umbrellas all over Anna Griffin dp in black. I then stamped extra umbrellas that I decoupaged onto 2 of them, giving them a curve. The topper is the same stamp, coloured a bit more, layered onto white card stamped with a flower stamp in green, and glittered, then onto brown paper put through the cuttlebug, sanded, then inked in red over the top. Added a ribbon. Card, ribbons, gems and a sentiment 'Under the weather' added on right hand side. This card was done as an experiment really, playing about with different techniques, then all put together.

WOJ/Elisabeth Bell Summer Stamp Kit Candy

Katharina is giving away 2 summer stamp kits. The draw is open till Friday May 1st. I so want to win these.

The Crafty Pad Challenge and One Stop Craft Challenge

I've made this card for 2 challenges. Firstly, the Crafty Pad's Challenge 18. This week it's a recipe, 1 pocket, 2 brads, 1 ribbon. You can also add extra ingredients if you wish, so i added an extra pocket outside and an extra one inside. One Stop Craft Challenge 26 is "Something New" - to do a new technique you've been meaning to try, or a new product or new stamp. The double pocket card with inside pocket is a new technique to me, and also the images of Just Ted are new.
I can't remember the name of the card I used, but the images are Just Ted from Debbie at The Crafty Pad. I've used a brad as the flower in Ted's hand and a brad that doubles up as a ribbon slider. The tag is by Bazzill with another Just ted image. I've added Stickles to the edge of the heart. Inside, I've made a pocket to fit some ribbons to send to a friend.

Awards!!

I've really been neglecting my blog the last couple of weeks, but been so busy with school holidays. Everything should be back to normal soon.
I've received some lovely awards. Firstly from Trimgym who has some really nice projects and tutorials on her blog. Secondly from Trish, who hasn't been blogging for long, but already has some fab cards posted. Last, but not least, from Jude, who has lots of lovely projects on her blog, as well as her own challenge blog here. Thanks to all of you for thinking of my blog for the awards, I'm thrilled. I'm not very good at passing awards on, as there are so many fab blogs out there, so please can all my followers take these awards for their blogs as I really enjoy visiting them all.

Cupcakes

I made this card using a gorgeous freebie download from Funky Fairies. I coloured the cupcake with pro-markers. The chipboard tag is from Trimcraft's Smirk range, attached with a Basic Grey brad. Sentiment and gems are from K & Co. I added Stickles to the sugared pieces on the cupcake and a little yellow ribbon round the base. All on green Bazzill cardstock.
I'm entering it into 3 challenges. Firstly, the Willow Sketchie Challenge on Craftbubble, which was a sketch with a bit of bling (Stickles on sugared pieces). Secondly, Cute Card Thursday, where the challenge is bright creations this week using the colours hot pink, lime, lemon and orange! (You are allowed to use some or all of the colours!) . Then, last but not least, Daring Cardmakers where the dare this week is to put a piece of fruit on your card (the strawberry on top of the cake!)

Willow Sketchie Challenge

For the Willow Sketchie Challenge at Craftbubble I made an Easter card. The challenge was a sketch, with a quote from Sharon:
I want you to think closely about your colour choices with this one..whatever colours you choose to colour your designs in...try and pull colours from that into what colour cardstock you choose, ribbons and embellishments you use.
I used a bunny stamp carrying a basket of eggs coloured with shades of green in pro-markers matted on dark green card with a ribbon and green and blue K & Co flower. The dp is K & Co. (I think) with greens, blues and white, and I added a gorgeous big green ribbon. The letters are Christmas peel offs from Dovecraft.

The Crafty Pad Challenge

I've made another Mother's Day card following the sketch for Challenge 13 on The Crafty Pad. The stamp is Faith on Windowseat coloured with pro-markers, and mounted onto white glitter card. The dp is K & Co. (I think) and the ribbon is HOTP. I've added punched flowers and gems.

Mothers Day

I've finally made a start on my Mothers day cards and combined 5 challenges in one card. Firstly, I followed the fab sketch from the Sunday Sketch Challenge 23 at Crafts 4 Eternity. The challenge at The Pink Elephant 6 is to use buttons, and at Stamp Something you need to use the colour green as the main part of the project. At Lili of the Valley, the challenge is to make a Mothers day card and last but not least March's challenge on the Stamp Mad forum on Craftbubble is to make a card using stitching (real or faux) and buttons.
Image - stamp from the Daisy and Dandelion range, Bubbles and Squeak
DPs - HOTP and K & Co.
Ribbon and buttons - HOTP
Red cardstock
Prima flower
I distressed all layers with my little Heidi Grace distressing tool and used brown inks to stipple and run round the edges. Stitching and sentiment written with a Whispers brown pen. Image coloured with pro-markers.

Comic Relief Piccies

Here are some pics of my 7 year old son Billy just before he went to school on Comic Relief Day. They had to dress up in something funny, so Billy's dad went to the good old pound shop and found some shorts with a bum in them. He sewed a farting toy thing into them with the switch up his sleeve so he could press it and no-one would know it was him (I don't know who was more excited - father or son!) He also wore a hat and added lots of facial hair. They had to pay a pound towards Comic Relief to dress funny and there were also races and other things put on at school. They all had a really good day and hopefully raised plenty of money.
