It's time for a new sketch at Delightful Sketches today, and my first DT card. There's a fantastic prize from The Ribbon Retreat of a $20 gift certificate to spend in their store. That will buy a lot of ribbon! The challenge lasts a fortnight, you can use any image, but new cards only please. If you'd like to use one of the fab images from Digital Delights, you can visit the store here or find our Freebie Friday here. Please visit the rest of the DT, they have some fantastic creations on their blogs.
Also, if you join us on Paper Craft Planet, you could win a fantastic journal made by Wendy (the illustrator). There will be a random drawing once we reach 100 followers.
There's also a challenge going on at SNR to win some rubber stamps designed by Wendy. Get your creations in by Saturday for a chance to win Maggie and Billy Fall Fun.
Ok, onto my card. I've twisted the sketch and used Angel Alexander coloured with pro-markers. I've used a clear Stardust Sakura pen on his wings and white flowersoft on the clouds. I've then gone over Alexander with glossy accents. I've added him to white card sprayed with Crafters Companion silver glitter spray, matted onto red card. Papers are Daisy and Dandelion Christmas Collection - A Winter's Tale punched with a Martha Stewart scallop punch. The snowflake is a punch covered with Twinklets Diamond Dust, then a silver metal snowflake charm added on top. Sentiment - Papermania. Bazzill white cs. Gems from stash.
I'm also going to enter this card into some challenges: 1. Lili of the Valley Challenge 38- Christmas card for a child 2. ABC - F for flying (anything with wings) 3. Ooh La La Creations Challenge 38- 3 different shapes
I'm a 44 year old mum of 2, a daughter of 19 and a son of 8. I haven't worked since having my daughter as I became ill and was diagnosed with lupus 14 years ago. I wanted a hobby that would take my mind off everything, so crafting was suggested to me. I started in March/April 2008 and have been having fun learning lots of techniques ever since.
