Exciting news at The Crafty Pad, Debbie's released some new Autumn stamps. Go take a look, they're fab and very reasonably priced. I'm pleased to be a guest designer for The Crafty Pad for October, and have used one of the new stamps, 'Umbrella and Stand' which is only £3.50. After stamping, embossing and colouring it, I loved it, and it can be used for any occasion too. The other new stamps are flourishes, which I also used on my card, and leaves. They come in a set for £3.60. The challenge is a sketch. For my card, I used pesto Adirondack ink and clear embossing powder on the umbrella stamp, same with the flourish stamp, which I've stamped in parts around the card. Other items used are pro-markers, Basic Grey Sugared papers, Bazzil brown dotty card, Bazzil pink c/s, Prima flower, pink satin ribbon and gold adhesive pearls. I added some pearls onto the bottom of the umbrella stand to give it a bit more dimension. Hope you can join us this week, and please take a look at what the fab design team have made for inspiration. I have some more exciting news to tell you tomorrow, to do with design teams, and I've also finally taken some pics of my crafting cabin, which I must upload.
I'm a 44 year old mum of 2, a daughter of 19 and a son of 8. I haven't worked since having my daughter as I became ill and was diagnosed with lupus 14 years ago. I wanted a hobby that would take my mind off everything, so crafting was suggested to me. I started in March/April 2008 and have been having fun learning lots of techniques ever since.
